We take a unique approach to tutoring and education. Novels & Numbers is a hands-on San Diego learning center that integrates reading, writing, and mathematics along with social skills and nutrition for children in Transitional Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.
At Novels & Numbers, we believe learning extends beyond the classroom. Education should account for all aspects of a child’s life — including health and wellness. By tapping into students’ interests and learning styles (visual, auditory, and/or kinesthetic), we target specific goals to tutor and provide homework help, math help, reading, writing, and social skills.
First we conduct an assessment to gain a better understanding of your child’s cognitive processing and specific learning style (visual, auditory, and/or kinesthetic). The results help us identify each student’s strengths and needs and tutor effectively.

Then we will work together to create a specialized tutoring and learning plan that focuses on setting academic and/or social goals. Our specialized learning plan combines a series of intervention programs to address areas of need.

Every session is based on your child’s specialized learning plan. We focus on incorporating their interests and specific learning style in our activities, letting us meet your child’s goals in a way that is fun and interactive.
